The Jacksonville Jaguars shut out the Jets at half-time, taking a 3-0 lead through a Josh Scobee field goal.

Rushing touchdowns from Shonn Greene and Bilal Powell gave the Jets a 17-3 lead.

Montell Owens gave the Jaguars late hope with a 32-yard run in to the end zone.

Mark Sanchez, returning to the Jets lineup after being benched against the St Louis Rams, completed 12 of 19 attempts for 111 yards.

The win keeps the Jets' chances of securing a wild card place in the playoffs alive.
