Report: New York Jets claim Alex Green, Scott Solomon

The New York Jets reportedly claim Green Bay Packers' Alex Green and Tennessee Titans' Scott Solomon on waivers.

The New York Jets have reportedly acquired running back Alex Green and defensive end Scott Solomon on waivers.

Green joins the Jets from the Green Bay Packers, where he was their leading rusher last season with 434 yards.

However, the 25-year-old fell behind rookie Eddie Lacy in the Packers' pecking order after only rushing for 71 yards on 21 carries during pre-season.

Solomon, meanwhile, joins from the Tennessee Titans having appeared in 13 games during his rookie season last year.

The 24-year-old, who can also play outside linebacker, was picked in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL draft, being selected 211th overall.
