The Green Bay Packers have said that a number of injured players could be ready to make a return to the field this weekend.
Wide receiver Jordy Nelson and defensive end Jerel Worthy are nearing fitness following hamstring injuries, while running back Alex Green is set to return from concussion and safety Charles Woodson is recovering from a collarbone injury.
Head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters: "I'm hopeful a lot of those guys can get back. But we'll see.
"I know Jordy, talking with him, he feels like he's very close. Charles, he's waiting on information from the medical staff. He's very close.
"Alex Green, I was surprised that he wasn't available for [the Packers' game against the Tennessee Titans] just based on the way that process, the result of the process, so he'll definitely be available."
The Packers have already clinched the NFC North division, and face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
