Jonathan Tisch wants New York as regular Super Bowl venue

New York Giants co-owner Jonathan Tisch wants the Super Bowl to be held in his side's stadium once every 10 years if Super Bowl XLVIII is a success.

New York Giants co-owner Jonathan Tisch is hopeful that his side's stadium becomes a regular venue for the Super Bowl.

The NFL has come under criticism for staging the Super Bowl in New York for the first time in their history, as low temperatures may hinder the fan experience as well as the quality of the game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos.

However, Tisch is confident that this will not be the case and believes that it could make its way into the rotation of venues.

He told the Newark Star-Ledger: "Hopefully when we do all the tallying for weeks to come the other 30 owners will say to themselves when there's a chance to do it again: 'Super Bowl XLVIII in New York and New Jersey was a huge success. Let's try to do this once every 10 years.'"

Super Bowl XLIX will be held in Arizona for the second time.
