Drew Brees woes continue for New Orleans Saints

New York Giants thrash the New Orleans Saints in a high-scoring encounter.

Drew Brees's figures were below their normal standard for a second week in a row, as the New Orleans Saints were downed by the New York Giants.

The Saints quarterback completed 26 of 43 passes and threw two interceptions in his side's 52-27 loss.

A close first half saw Elbert Mack score a defensive touchdown for the New Orleans Saints, while David Wilson got on the scoresheet for the Giants with a 97-yard return from the kickoff.

The sides continued to trade scores in the third quarter, with two touchdowns for each team.

However, the Giants exploited a Saints defense which has struggled throughout the year in the fourth quarter, with Victor Cruz finding the end zone, and Wilson adding his third touchdown of the day.

The win keeps the Giants one win ahead of NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins.
