Drew Brees says that the New Orleans Saints cannot get pack of the field quick enough after losing at the weekend.

Drew Brees has said that the New Orleans Saints are keen to play again after a loss at the weekend.

The Saints quarterback threw two interceptions in their defeat by the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The 33-year-old said: "It's tough to swallow because I feel like we can beat that team, should have beat that team, but they're really, really good.

"The good thing is, when you come off a loss like that you just can't get back on the field fast enough. In this case, we get back on the field about as fast as you can.

"We really didn't abandon the game plan until about mid-fourth quarter and then it became 'hey we're down two possessions, we've got to score quickly.' Prior to that, I felt like we were extremely balanced."

The Saints face the Atlanta Falcons in this week's Thursday game, and are the only side to beat their NFC South rivals so far this season.
