The New York Giants scored 17 unanswered points in the first quarter to help them to a healthy 23-0 lead at half time of their match against the Tennessee Titans this evening.
The Giants took control of the ball early on and slowly worked their way downfield before Josh Brown capped off a seven-minute drive with a field goal from 20 yards.
Tennessee were forced into a punt on their opening possession, and the Giants made the most of getting the ball back when Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr combined for a 15-yard score.
A poor quarter got even worse for the Titans soon after as Zach Mettenberger was sacked and fumbled the ball, allowing Markus Kuhn to collect and return it 26 yards for a touchdown.
The Titans improved defensively in the second quarter and kept the Giants out of their endzone despite heavy pressure late on, with the visitors being forced to settle for another Brown field goal.
Brown added his third kick, this time from 36 yards, in the closing seconds of the half, giving the Giants a commanding lead over the struggling Titans.
