Veteran defensive tackle Kevin Williams could be interested in opening contract talks with the New England Patriots, according to a report in the press.
Williams is one of the highest-profile free agents currently looking for a team, with the 11-year NFL star recently visiting the Patriots during training.
According to NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport, Williams is willing to listen to offers, but would also happily retire should he not get the kind of deal he is looking for.
It is thought that the Patriots may not be able to offer the player a top-end contract, though the team does also recognise a need for greater depth to its defensive line.
