New England Patriots' Aqib Talib out of New York Jets clash

New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib will not play against the New York Jets on Sunday due to a hip injury.

The New England Patriots will be without cornerback Aqib Talib for their clash with the New York Jets on Sunday.

The 27-year-old sustained a hip injury during his side's win over the New Orleans Saints and was forced to leave in the third quarter.

Talib missed his side's practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday but did return to the field on Friday and was listed as doubtful on the injury report.

However, he has been deemed not fit enough to feature at MetLife Stadium along with safety Tavon Wilson.

The Patriots are 5-1 going into week seven of the NFL season.
