New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis has revealed that he joined the club to be part of a "winning" organisation.
The 28-year-old penned a reported two-year deal with Bill Belichick's side after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week.
Revis told reporters: "We had to weigh our options. It was a lot of stuff going on after I got released, teams calling and we had to weigh our options. Me and my agents had to weigh our options.
"We felt like New England was the best place. They're a winning program, they're a winning organisation and we wanted to be a part of it.
"I know the New England Patriots very well from playing against them when I was a Jet and we just felt like this is the right situation for me. Everything fell into place."
Revis played all 16 games for the Buccaneers last season after recovering from a torn ACL he sustained in the 2012 campaign while at the New York Jets.
