Darrelle Revis: 'Last season was tough'

New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis admits that 2013 was a tough season coming off an ACL injury the year before.

Darrelle Revis has admitted that he found the 2013 NFL season "tough" after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear the year before.

The cornerback spent the season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was released at the end of the campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has since joined the New England Patriots, told the New York Post: "I'm on my career and my journey, and right now, I'm a New England Patriot. And that's that.

"Last year was a tough year when I played in Tampa Bay. It was tough coming off the ACL and everything, so it was a long year for me personally. I'm just trying to recover.

"Yeah, I'm being my own guy. I'm going to be me. That's all I can say. I'm going to be myself and go with the flow."

Revis made 50 tackles, one sack and two interceptions for the Buccaneers in 2013.
