New England Patriots equipment staff members reinstated by the NFL

The New England Patriots announce that their two equipment staff members John Jastremski and Jim McNally have been reinstated by the NFL.

The New England Patriots have confirmed that their two equipment staff members John Jastremski and Jim McNally have been reinstated by the NFL.

The duo were suspended by the Patriots at the request of the league after the deflategate scandal when they were accused of deflating footballs in the club's AFC championship win over the Indianapolis Colts.

New England were told by the NFL that they had to ask for their permission to reinstate Jastremski and McNally, which was requested last week. The league have now granted the appeal to allow the duo to return to work.

The team said in a statement: "Last week, the New England Patriots requested the reinstatement of both John Jastremski and Jim McNally.

"The Patriots have satisfied the league's requirements for reinstatement and the league has granted permission for the employees to return."

Tom Brady saw his suspension for the deflategate scandal vacated by US District judge Richard Berman earlier this month.
