New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to sit out of the team's final pre-season game against the New York Giants on Thursday night.

According to NFL.com, the decision has been made to see more of both Ryan Mallett and Tim Tebow ahead of the start of the season.

"The Patriots' plan for tonight is to sit Tom Brady out," an NFL.com reporter tweeted. "That means Ryan Mallett, and likely plenty of Tim Tebow."

Brady is entering his 14th season with the Patriots.
