Willie Young: 'I've got to stop hurting the team'

Detroit Lions defensive end Willie Young is determined to stop giving away cheap penalties that cost his side during their pre-season clash against the New England Patriots.

Detroit Lions defensive end Willie Young has admitted that he is determined to stop giving away penalties that cost his side.

Young was flagged for goading New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during the Lions' 40-9 win over Bill Belichick's team in their pre-season clash.

"I just can't do things to hurt the team," Young told MLive.com. "And right now, I'm moving on to Buffalo.

"What I said stays between the lines. Tom Brady, got much respect for him. Go ask Brady what I said."

Detroit finish their pre-season campaign next week against the Buffalo Bills.
