The New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals have gone into the halfway stage of their match all square at 3-3 after a low-scoring first half.
The Bengals squandered the best opportunity of a tight first quarter when Andy Dalton threw an intercepted pass while in the red zone for the first time in his NFL career.
The Patriots were then guilty of fumbling the ball on a promising drive when LaGarrette Blount could not hold on for the visitors.
The first score of the game finally came with 3:17 left in the second quarter when Mike Nugent knocked over a 39-yard field goal to give the Bengals a 3-0 lead.
The Patriots were also soon on the scoreboard, levelling the sides with a field goal of their own through Stephen Gostkowski's 42-yard effort with 13 seconds left on the clock.
