Baltimore Ravens beat Minnesota Vikings in fourth-quarter thriller

The Baltimore Ravens narrowly beat the Minnesota Vikings after an incredible fourth quarter that saw the lead change hands no fewer than six times.

The Baltimore Ravens emerged 29-26 winners over the Minnesota Vikings this evening after a thrilling final quarter that saw the lead change hands six times.

The hosts took the lead in the latter stages of the opening quarter when Joe Flacco floated the ball over to Ed Dickson at the back of the endzone for a one-yard score.

The Vikings did not register on the scoreboard until a similar time in the second quarter, scoring their first points of the match through a 39-yard Blair Walsh field goal.

Walsh added a second field goal early in the third quarter to reduce the gap to just one point going into the fourth.

The Vikings then took the lead for the first time in the contest at the start of the final quarter when Matt Cassel fizzed a pass in to Jerome Simpson at the back of the endzone.

The Ravens regained the advantage with just 2:07 left when Dennis Pitta collected a Flacco pass from one yard, while the latter also successfully found Torrey Smith in the endzone for the two-point conversion.

Toby Gerhart then scored with a 41-yard run to give the Vikings the lead back, but the Ravens responded immediately when Jacoby Jones returned the kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown.

Cordarrelle Patterson then collected a pass from Cassel for a 79-yard score, but once again the lead was short-lived as Marlon Brown got what proved to be the winning score with just nine seconds left on the clock, getting on the end of Flacco's nine-yard pass.

The final 2:10 of the match saw the lead change hands an incredible five times as the Ravens made it three wins on the bounce in the most dramatic of fashions.
