Rick Spielman: 'Minnesota Vikings expect busy Draft'

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman believes that the team will be busy in the 2014 NFL Draft later this year.

Rick Spielman has said that the Minnesota Vikings plan to make "a lot of movement" during this year's Draft.

Trades with the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots gave the Vikings three first-round picks last year, and the NFC North side currently hold eight selections in total for 2014.

The team's general manager told the Star Tribune: "We have eight right now, and a lot of that [movement] doesn't happen until you're on the clock.

"Heck, last year they pulled me out of a press conference to go get [29th overall pick Cordarrelle] Patterson because you never know. But I really, really think we're going to do a lot of movement in the draft."

As it stands, Minnesota are set to have four picks in the opening three rounds in May, including the eighth overall.
