Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph has declared that he is the best player in his position in the NFL.
Despite New Orleans Saints star Jimmy Graham bettering Rudolph's three-year career totals last season alone, the Vikings man is of the belief that he is in fact the number one.
When asked the question regarding the best tight end at a promotion event, Rudolph answered: "Me. There's a ton of talented tight ends in our game that play at a high level, like Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Jason Witten and Vernon Davis. But I would put myself up there with them.
"I feel as a tight end, it's extremely important to be a guy that can contribute in the running game and also in the passing game. And I do those things.
"I'm looking forward to being a part of the new offense under Norv Turner. My goal every year is to be the best tight end in the NFL."
Rudolph has recorded 109 catches for 1,055 yards and 15 touchdowns in three years in the league, while Graham had 1,215 yards and 16 touchdowns on just 86 receptions in 2013 alone, as well as battling injury.
