Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has revealed his elation over signing a long-term deal with the club.
The Dolphins and the 25-year-old came to an agreement on a six-year contract worth up to $96m (£61.3m), with $45m (£28.7m) guaranteed, to keep Tannehill with the AFC East outfit until the end of the 2020 season.
Tannehill has been a solid starter for the Dolphins in his three years with the team, and has set his sights on winning the Super Bowl during his stay.
He told reporters: "It's always a dream to sign a big contract, but the main dream I always had was winning a championship, being able to hold that trophy, celebrate with my teammates on the field after winning a championship.
"That's still the dream that I have. Obviously this is huge and a blessing, but that's still my dream. I believe in this team, I believe in this organisation, so I was super excited to try to get something done. Fortunately enough, through a lot of hard work by a lot of people sitting in this room, we made it happen.
"I'm so blessed to be sitting here in this chair and be playing football, the dream job that I have and the opportunity to go win championships. Fortunately enough, I signed a big deal and that's part of it. I'm super excited about that and thankful for that, but at the end of the day, it's great, it's a blessing, but we're here to win."
Tannehill has thrown for 11,252 yards along with 63 touchdowns to 42 interceptions in his three years in the NFL.
