Miami Dolphins cut Lance Louis, Jovorskie Lane

As part of their roster cutdown the Miami Dolphins release veteran guard Lance Louis and full back Jovorskie Lane.

The Miami Dolphins have released veteran guard Lance Louis and full back Jovorskie Lane to reach their 75-man roster limit.

Louis was signed by the Dolphins to a $1.6m (£1m) one-year deal earlier this year and was expected to battle it out with John Jerry for the starter's job.

However, Jerry appear to have won the race to start at right guard while they have also removed Lane from their roster despite playing under offensive coordinator Mike Sherman at Texas A & M.

Miami open their regular season against the Cleveland Browns.
