Half-Time Report: New England Patriots leading Miami Dolphins in AFC East

The Miami Dolphins score a late touchdown to make it a one-point game at half time against the New England Patriots.

The Miami Dolphins scored a late touchdown to move within one point of the New England Patriots at half time of their AFC East clash this evening.

The Patriots took the lead early in the first quarter when Caleb Sturgis saw his field goal blocked, allowing Kyle Arrington to collect and return it 62 yards for a touchdown.

The Dolphins got on the board in the final minute of the opening quarter as Sturgis was successful with his second attempt, splitting the posts from 24 yards.

The hosts extended their advantage in the second quarter when Shane Vereen peeled off to the right and leapt over the line from just three yards out.

Miami were forced to settle for a field goal again to reduce the deficit, this time Sturgis converting from 53 yards to make it an eight-point game.

The Dolphins pushed for a late score in the closing stages of the half and finally got it as time expired, with Mike Wallace and Ryan Tannehill combining for a 32-yard score to make it a one-point game at the break.
