The Kansas City Chiefs have placed tight end Travis Kelce on the season-ending injured reserve list.
The rookie, who was a third-round pick in this year's Draft, had microfracture knee surgery last week.
The 24-year-old, who did not take to the field in the first five games of the season, started to suffer with knee pain during training camp.
Defensive back Bradley McDougald has been signed from the team's practice squad to take Kelce's place on the roster.
