Eric Berry using off-season to improve technique

Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry reveals that he plans to use his off-season to refine his technique to become a more rounded player.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Eric Berry has revealed that he will be using the off-season to improve on his technique.

The 25-year-old has carved out a reputation as one of the best safeties in the game since arriving in the league in 2010, but feels that he can always get better in his role.

He told the Kansas City Star: "It's getting to that point, that age where I'm getting that grown-man strength that guys talk about. So my thing is just working a little bit smarter, focusing more on my technique.

"Anything that helps my coverage and stuff like that [is good]. I feel like that's a big part [of what] they put on me, to cover guys. I've got to make sure I'm on point with that stuff."

Berry recorded 74 tackles, 3.5 sacks and three interceptions in the 2013 season.
