Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has backed Allen Robinson to step up for the team in the absence of Julius Thomas.
Thomas has been ruled out for the first month of the 2015 campaign due to a finger injury, leaving Bortles without a presence in the endzone.
However, the 23-year-old believes that Robinson can fill the void and become a threat for the club in the red area.
"Allen is going to be huge for us, but especially with Julius out," Bortles told reporters. "He's going to have to pick up some slack in the red zone. Obviously, he'll get more targets."
Robinson recorded 48 receptions for 548 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season for the Jaguars.
