Half-Time Report: Seattle Seahawks edging Indianapolis Colts by two points

The Seattle Seahawks take a 19-17 lead into the halfway stage of their match against the Indianapolis Colts this afternoon.

The Seattle Seahawks have taken a slender two-point advantage into half time of their match against the Indianapolis Colts, leading 19-17 at the break.

Seattle opened the scoring with 11:46 left in the first quarter when Steven Hauschka hit a 42-yard field goal to make it 3-0 to the visitors.

The first touchdown of the match also went the way of the Seahawks when Russell Wilson's short pass found Golden Tate, who ran in for a 10-yard touchdown.

Seattle extended their lead by two more points when Pat McAfee's punt was blocked, resulting in a safety for the visitors as the ball went out of bounds.

The Colts hit back at the end of the first quarter, however, when Andrew Luck found TY Hilton with a long pass before the receiver cut inside and ran in from the 25-yard line to complete a 74-yard touchdown.

Indianapolis took the lead in the second quarter when they managed to block a field goal, allowing Delano Howell in for a 61-yard return score.

The Seahawks responded with 6:05 left of the half, however, as Jermaine Kearse produced a diving catch from Wilson's throw to complete a 28-yard score and make it 19-14 to the hosts.

Adam Vinatieri cut that lead to just three points before half time with a 41-yard field goal following a 58-yard drive from the visitors.
