Gary Kubiak: 'Ed Reed will be a game-time decision'

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak reveals that safety Ed Reed could play some part in his side's season opener on Monday against the San Diego Chargers.

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has revealed that safety Ed Reed could be a game-time decision to play against the San Diego Chargers.

Reed has missed the entire pre-season as he recovered from hip surgery in the off-season following his move to the club from the Baltimore Ravens.

"He had another good practice today," Kubiak told Houston Chronicle. "He's come a long way. I can't say he won't play."

The 33-year-old is in his 12th season in the NFL and won his first Super Bowl with the Ravens in January.
