Gary Kubiak: 'Owen Daniels is progressing in injury return'

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak reveals that tight end Owen Daniels is progressing in his return from a fractured leg sustained in October.

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has revealed that tight end Owen Daniels is making progress in his return from injury but will not face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Daniels has been out of action since week five of the season after sustaining a fractured leg in his side's defeat to the San Francisco 49ers and was placed on the Texans' injured reserve designated to return list.

"OD did work on the field — not with the team but on his own — and had a really good day," Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle.

"Obviously, he's not going to play this week. But he made a lot of progress, so we'll see where we're at heading into the weekend."

The Texans are 2-10 in their season going into their week 14 clash with the Jaguars.
