The Houston Texans have decided to cut ties with cornerback Brandon Harris as part of their roster cutdown ahead of the 2014 season.
The Texans selected Harris in the second round of the 2011 Draft, but he struggled to earn playing time at the club in his first two seasons.
The 24-year-old played all 16 matches in the 2013 campaign, but his performances were lacklustre and a poor training camp sealed his fate as he has failed to make the 53-man roster.
The Texans also cut Chris Boswell, Zach Potter, Jawanza Starling, Toben Opurum, Travis Labhart, Mike Farrell, Quentin Groves, E.Z. Nwachukwu, Lacoltan Bester, Alex Kupper, James Ferentz, Anthony Denham, Bronson Irwin, Matt Feiler, Ricardo Mathews, Max Bullough, Chris Young, Chris McAllister, Marcus Williams, Keith Browner and Julius Warmsley.
