New Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has spoken of his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside JJ Watt next season.
Clowney was chosen with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, joining a Texans side that slid to a franchise-worst 12 consecutive defeats at the end of last season.
However, hopes are high in Houston that they can significantly improve upon that record in the 2014 campaign, with 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Watt mentoring the promising Clowney.
"He told me he's going to give me every piece of knowledge to help me improve my game and he's going to stay on me like a mentor or a big brother to me, and I told him I appreciate that, and I'm looking forward to working with him," Clowney told reporters at the Draft ceremony.
Despite playing at defensive end for the majority of his college career, Clowney is expected to move to linebacker for the Texans due to the presence of Watt in his usual position.
