Tom Clements hopes for healthy running backs

Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements hopes that running backs Eddie Lacy, Johnathan Franklin and James Starks will be healthy by next weekend.

Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements has said that he wants the team to have a healthy running back unit after their bye week.

The NFC North side, who do not play this weekend, were without starter Eddie Lacy last week due to concussion, while James Starks and Johnathan Franklin have knee and foot complaints respectively.

Clements told the team's official website: "We're confident in our running game. It's been good and we hope to make sure it continues to be good and hopefully improve it.

"We hope all three of them are healthy and that will give us good options, whichever way we decide to go.

"It would be nice to have them all at the same time, and also to have [fullback] John Kuhn. We've had some injuries in the backfield. It's been unfortunate. Hopefully, when we get all of them healthy, we'll be able to let them roll."

The Packers will play the Detroit Lions next Sunday.
