Mike McCarthy has said that he has not ruled out the possibility of Eddie Lacy playing for the Green Bay Packers this weekend.
The running back sustained a concussion during his first carry against the Washington Redskins last Sunday.
The head coach told the Packers' website: "We still have time. The doctors are evaluating, going through the protocol. I know Eddie wants to play, so we'll see what happens.
"It's not ideal for a rookie to go through the week without any preparation and then play in the game, no question about it. I'm not excited about it. But we want 46 players we feel give us the best chance to beat the Cincinnati Bengals."
McCarthy has already confirmed that James Starks will be the team's starting running back for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals tomorrow.
