Matthew Stafford says that he does not think there is a problem with the way he throws the football.

Matthew Stafford has said that he is not concerned about his throwing action.

The Detroit Lions quarterback has been criticised for the mechanics of his throw as well as his footwork.

The 24-year-old told WXYT-FM: "I really don't feel like it's too much different, to tell you the truth.

"I'm just trying to make the plays that are there. I feel like I probably threw two balls sidearm [on Sunday] and I think both of them were complete. If that's a problem, then I don't really know what to tell you."

The Lions have four wins and 10 losses so far this season.
