Detroit Lions' Eric Ebron admits he must improve in 2015

Detroit Lions youngster Eric Ebron hopes to improve in 2015 and live up to his his own expectations.

Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron has said that he needs to make progress, after a disappointing rookie season.

The 21-year-old favourably compared himself to New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham, but he only managed one touchdown all year, and he has now admitted that he overhyped himself.

He told the Lions' website: "It is what it is. I kind of overhyped that situation myself not exactly knowing what kind of situation I was going into or which team I was going to get drafted to. It is what it is. It happened. [My] rookie year is over and the only thing you can do is progress. It's just all about progressing now."

Ebron was a 10th-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
