Derek Wolfe planning 2014 comeback

Denver Broncos' Derek Wolfe believes that he will be fit to start the 2014 season.

Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe has insisted that he is feeling confident about a return to the game in the 2014 season having missed his side's Super Bowl run.

Wolfe was hospitalised in November after suffering seizures, and the player said that after an initial comeback was too early he has since recovered by taking things much more slowly.

"I thought I was fully healed and I came back a little too soon and kept hitting it," NFL.com quotes Wolfe as saying. "It screwed up my nervous system a little bit - crisscrossed the wires a little bit.

"I needed to let myself heal, so I took about two months and did nothing. I feel better than I ever felt before."

Wolfe started all 16 regular season games in 2012, before starting 11 last season before his injury.
