Wes Welker has been ruled out of the Denver Broncos' game with the San Diego Chargers on Thursday night.
The wide receiver sustained concussion during last weekend's 51-28 win over the Tennessee Titans, and a short week for the team means that Welker will fall short of following the seven-day NFL protocol for head injuries.
Welker's injury is the second concussion he has suffered in four games.
The Broncos can clinch the AFC West if a victory is coupled by a Kansas City Chiefs loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
