Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has insisted that he is doing "everything possible" to be fit in time for Sunday's match against the New England Patriots.
Welker suffered a concussion during last Sunday's 27-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs and has been forced to take part in limited practice this week due to NFL protocols.
The 32-year-old has so far passed every medical test and return to full practice later today, opening the door for him to take part in Sunday's match.
"I love playing the game, especially in big atmospheres like this. I'm doing everything possible on my end to get an opportunity to play in it," Welker told reporters.
Should Welker be fit enough to play, it would be his first match against the Patriots since ending his six-season spell with the team earlier this year.
