Quanterus Smith has said that it will be frustrating to miss the early part of pre-season as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
The defensive end was drafted by the Denver Broncos last month, but will not be able to train with the team until his torn anterior cruciate ligament has healed.
The 23-year-old told the team's official website: "Yeah, it's a little upsetting, but it is what it is. I've just got to work hard to get back, but it is a little frustrating.
"I can run fine. I've been doing agility drills and all that stuff before I came up here. I mean, I feel good about everything.
"The combine, they rechecked it and said the knee looked good. But all the drills I've been doing, I felt good in them, so I feel good about it. It just takes time. I'm just waiting on time."
Smith recorded 12.5 sacks during his final college season.
