Peyton Manning has told the Denver Broncos that he wants to return to play in the 2015 season, according to a report.
The 38-year-old refused to rule out retiring from the NFL after struggling in his side's defeat to the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Reports after the game also suggested that Manning played through a torn quadriceps injury, which limited his ability to throw the ball deep downfield.
However, the five-time NFL MVP has informed the Broncos that he is ready to return to action for the new campaign, but is still awaiting their decision on whether to honour his $19m salary, reports ESPN.
Manning threw for 4,727 yards along with 39 touchdowns to 15 interceptions for the Broncos in the 2014 campaign.
