Report: Peyton Manning passes neck exam to play in 2014 season

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning reportedly passes an exam on his neck to resume his NFL career for the 2014 season.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has passed an examination on his neck and will play in the 2014 season, according to a report.

The 37-year-old has had issues with his neck for the past few seasons and he was forced to miss the 2011 campaign due to the problem.

Despite recording the best statistical season ever set by a quarterback in 2013, Manning was required in his contract to have the examination before he could get back to work for the Broncos in preparation for the 2014 campaign.

The club's executive vice president John Elway confirmed that the quarterback received a clean bill of health from doctors and will be fine to continue his NFL career, reports ESPN.

Manning lost the second Super Bowl of his career when the Broncos were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks in February.
