Wes Welker cleared to play in 2015 season

Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker reveals that a concussion specialist has cleared him to play for the 2015 season.

Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has revealed that he has been cleared to play in the 2015 season by a concussion specialist.

The 34-year-old has suffered three concussions in the past two seasons, the last of which occurred in late 2013, but has made a significant impact on the play of the wideout.

However, Welker is adamant that he wants to continue playing in the NFL if he can find a new club for the 2015 season, after his contract with the Broncos came to an end in March.

"I knew there were concerns out there but on top of that I wanted to know for my own peace of mind," Welker told 9News.com.

"If there was something wrong, I wanted to know. For me, everything came out all good."

Welker recorded 49 receptions for 464 yards and two touchdowns in the 2014 season.
