Jason Garrett refuses to blame officials for defeat

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett admits that his side's failure to beat the Green Bay Packers was not all down to a ruling to overturn a catch from Dez Bryant.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has refused to blame the officials for his side's defeat to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Cowboys were denied a first down on the goal line late in the fourth quarter after Dez Bryant made an outstanding grab, as the referee overturned the decision of a catch when replays showed the ball had hit the ground when he fell to the turf.

"It looked to me that he had three feet down and what they describe to us all the time, is a move common to the game," Garrett told reporters. "Dez reached out for the goal line like he's done so many times - it's a signature play for him.

"He maintained possession of it throughout in my opinion, but let me make it really clear: This game wasn't about officiating. We had 60 minutes, we had an opportunity to come up here and win a ballgame and at the end of the day, we didn't get that job done."

Garrett is out of contract with the Cowboys when the league year ends in March.
