Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett admits Miles Austin reunion is "possible"

Coach Jason Garrett says that ex-Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin could re-sign for the team over the coming weeks.

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett has admitted that the team may re-sign Miles Austin, despite only releasing him in March.

Wide receiver Austin was cut by the Cowboys following a disappointing season in which he caught for 244 receiving yards and zero touchdown passes.

Austin has failed to attract the attention of other NFL sides and although Garrett drafted wideout Devin Street, there may still be a place for the 29-year-old on their roster.

Garrett told the Cowboys' official website: "We love Miles Austin, we really do. Obviously, drafting Devin Street, we addressed the receiver position a little bit. But Miles has been a really good player for us in the past.

"The economics of his situation really factored into the decision we made with him, coupled with his injuries. We'll look at the landscape when we get done. Miles is a guy that we have great respect for as a person and as a player."

Austin was originally picked up by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2006.
