Alex Albright to miss 2013 season with back injury

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Alex Albright will miss the 2013 NFL season to undergo back surgery after sustaining an injury during training camp.

The Dallas Cowboys have announced that Alex Albright will miss the 2013 NFL season after sustaining a back injury.

The linebacker picked up the complaint at the start of the NFC East side's training camp, missing all three of their pre-season games.

The franchise's owner Jerry Jones told the team's official website: "I don't know all of the details but I know it's a significant injury. He's out for the season."

The Cowboys have also confirmed that the 25-year-old would need surgery to repair the damage. Albright made 31 tackles for Dallas in 2012.
