Jerry Jones 'not concerned" by Morris Clairborne absence

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that cornerback Morris Claiborne's absence from practice is not a major concern for the team.

Jerry Jones has said that he is "not concerned" that Morris Claiborne has not practised with the Dallas Cowboys for the last week.

The cornerback injured his knee in training camp last Tuesday, and is expected to miss a second pre-season game this weekend.

The owner told the team's website: "I just don't think we need to see him play against Arizona, but I'm not concerned. All of those things are not a concern. He ought to be a healthy player, and he ought to be a healthy player soon, for us, right now, opening game.

"He's a young player. The injuries that he's having are not what you'd call the kinds of injuries that would be chronic or you'd expect to be dealing with down the road, to the extent down the road means opening night."

The Cowboys play the Arizona Cardinals tomorrow.
