Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has urged the club's quarterback Andy Dalton to improve his game in the post-season in his fourth season in the NFL.
Dalton has impressed by guiding the Bengals to the playoffs in each of his three seasons in the league so far, but Jackson said that the QB has fallen short in the big end-of-season games.
"Obviously that's the hump that we're trying to get over," Jackson told SiriusXM. "And I think the guy has the makeup to do it.
"Just go back to the fundamentals that you use playing the game. From how you get under centre, how you take a snap, the sense of urgency in your drop, where we're putting our eyes, how we're finishing our throws, our progress.
"I think Andy's gonna learn that there's a time in the NFL when you gotta say 'uncle' and just throw the ball away."
The Bengals finished first in the AFC North last season with an 11-5 record.
