Former Denver Broncos coach John Fox will reportedly interview with the Chicago Bears, but is not considered a lock for the job.
Fox parted ways with the Broncos on Monday and it is understood that he satisfies most of the criteria that Chicago are looking for in their next coach.
As a veteran coach with a winning record, the Bears are keen to add him to the franchise alongside first-year general manager Ryan Pace, according to ESPN.
However, it is reported that Pace will have the final say on the coaching hire and that he wants a coach capable of sustaining a push to the Super Bowl next season.
Fox guided the Broncos to four straight playoff seasons and compiled a 46-18 record overall. He is 119-89 in his career and 8-6 in the playoffs.
