Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester has revealed he will play on defense if he is needed to against the St Louis Rams.
A spate of injuries has left the Bears short of options in their secondary as Charles Tillman, Isaiah Frey and Craig Steltz are all struggling to be fit for the game.
When asked if he could play on defense, Hester told the Chicago Tribune. "I think so, but we're deep at DBs right now. We have second and third options if anything go wrong with the guys that's playing now.
"If push comes to shove, it's fourth quarter, two minutes left in the game and we need to go any kind of coverage with me back there, I'll do it."
The Bears are 6-4 in their season going into week 12.
