Dave Gettleman: 'Jordan Gross will be missed'

Carolina Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman admits that his side will miss Jordan Gross next season after the left tackle announced his retirement.

Carolina Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman has admitted that his side will miss left tackle Jordan Gross next season.

Gross announced his retirement on Tuesday, ending an 11-year career with the Panthers that saw them reach a Super Bowl in his rookie campaign.

The 33-year-old went on to make a franchise-record 167 career starts for the team, and Gettleman believes that he will go down as a Panthers legend.

"Jordan was a great Panther and he will be missed," Gettleman told ESPN.

Gross was chosen as the eighth overall pick in the 2003 Draft and went on to make three Pro Bowl appearances during his time with the Panthers.
