Doug Whaley: 'We have a lot to prove'

Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley is adamant that his side will do their utmost to turn the franchise's fortunes around.

Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley has admitted that his side are determined to prove the club's doubters wrong and post a winning record for the first time in 10 years in the 2014 campaign.

The Bills have failed to reach the playoffs since the 1999 season and have finished bottom of the AFC East for the past six years.

However, Whaley feels that the club are moving in the right direction and are determined to shed their image of a losing team in the NFL.

He told the club's official website: "They should. We haven't done anything. We've got a lot to prove. It is what it is. Like Russ [Brandon] said, 'We won't hide from it.'"

The Bills finished with a 6-10 record in the 2013 season under first year head coach Doug Marrone.
