Elvis Dumervil has said that he cannot wait to start playing with the Baltimore Ravens.
The former Denver Broncos linebacker signed for the Super Bowl champions earlier this week, agreeing to a five-year deal.
Speaking at a press conference, the 29-year-old said: "I'm so excited. I can't wait to get out there with the guys and really compete and just bring that to the table.
"In this world, you have to prove a point, and you have to prove yourself, and I'm all about that. I think year in and year out, that's what drives me. I'd go in as a rookie every year so you have to prove yourself.
"I'm excited. My attitude and the way I approach it is that is my mentality. I have a chip on my shoulder, I may have a brick wall now."
Dumervil turned down the chance to re-sign for the Broncos, who cut him following a fax blunder by his agent.
